1100 Acre Hunting Plantation For Lease
This lease has not been available to the public for the past 15 years.
1100 acres managed farm with 280 acres of soybean and wheat crops, 150
acres of pecan orchards inter-planted with clover, vetch and other plants,
14 acres of pear orchards scattered over the land with inter-planted
clover, vetch and other plants, corn food plots, winter graze food plots.
There are permanent deer stands over most of the land. The farm has
numerous irrigation reservoirs over all of the land ranging in size from
1-25 acres with fishing in some of them. Healthy population of geese in
the larger ponds. There are some beaver ponds with duck hunting
opportunities. Turkey are on all of the land. The deer population is very
good and peaks during the fall when the crops mature and the deer migrate
onto the fields and orchards from the surrounding forest land. The deer
population has been so great that in the past, DNR has issued out of
season harvest permits to thin the herd. It would be impossible to farm
the land without taking a large number of deer each year. 80+ deer per
year were harvested from 1993-2001. The land has been QDM for the past 6
years and harvests have been around 50+ deer per year. There are some
orchards that do not have QDM restrictions on them due to excessive damage
to the trees from antler rubs. Included with the lease is a 3 bedroom 2
bath lodge. There is also a 2 bedroom 2 bath mobile home 300 feet from the
lodge that is available to rent. This land is bordered on the east by a
large hunting plantation and a large part of the west side is bordered by
a large forestry company's experimental pine tree orchard and they do not
allow hunting by anyone on it. This is one of the best places you will
ever hunt in GA. Also available is a 317 acre lease in

500 Acres QDM Property in Pickens County Georgia
We have 500 acres of QDM property with 22 club stands and
more than 20 food plots.
There are no work days, meetings, or parties. We are family oriented
and alcohol free club. I put in the food plots, seeds and fertilizer.
